BEAR A7 Resurfacing - May

BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential resurfacing works at 2 locations on the A7 trunk road between Langholm and Hawick, starting Tuesday 2nd May.
The works programme can be found below, with work taking place between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 each night.

Road users are to leave the A7 at Hawick and follow the A6088, B6357 and B7201 to Canonbie. This diversion will add approximately 7.7 miles and 20 minutes to affected journeys.

Unfortunately, we have no option but to close this section of the A7 to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public.
During construction hours a clearly signed diversion route will be in place, please also refer to the attached location plans and diversion drawings for further details.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
