Skills Support for Community Councils from the Open University in Scotland

Delivered by Page Munro, Partnerships Manager at the Open University in Scotland, this webinar will introduce the numerous ways that the Open University (OU) can support Community Councils (CCs) across Scotland.

The OU and the Improvement Service have worked in partnership to create a dedicated skills portal for CCs in Scotland. Using feedback from CCs on the type of skills they would like to gain, the portal provides a curated selection of free OU short courses that include courses in areas such as digital skills, business skills, sustainability and finance and fundraising.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the portal and how it can be used to support skills development within CCs. We will also provide a more general overview of the work of the OU in communities across Scotland and share information about funding opportunities that might be of interest to CCs and the people in their local areas.

To sign up, please fill in this form and we will send out a Microsoft Teams link nearer the time. If you have not received the link by the day of the webinar, it might be worth checking your Junk folder. If you still cannot find joining instructions, please contact emma.swift@improvementservice.org.uk
