Three really useful webinars for Community Councillors coming up in October and November.
Tuesday 24th October 6pm-7pm with the National Centre for Resilience

The NCR team will offer an informative presentation that provides an overview of ongoing projects. They will discuss how you can work with the NCR to help build a more resilient Scotland. Following this, the NCR team will introduce their new ‘NCR Community Council Fund’, designed to empower Community Councils in crafting resilience plans.

A joint presentation from Money 4 Moray and Dawn Brown from the Scottish Community Development Centre who support PB Scotland, discussing the opportunities and challenges for community-led Participatory Budgeting (PB) processes. Money 4 Moray were formed by the Joint Community Councils of Moray and have delivered numerous successful PB processes now.

Local Place Plans are a new right enshrined in planning legislation for communities to prepare a plan for their own place. The webinar will provide an overview of Local Place Plans, and how they are different from other types of community-led plan. It will also look at what the key requirements are in terms of preparing a Local Place Plan, and at some examples of Local Place Plans that have already been prepared.
